Here are 5 things you need to know about updates to the FHA Final Rule

1. All companies applying for FHA lender approval (DOES NOT APPLY TO BROKERS) after May 20th, 2010 will need to meet the new net worth requirements, which are $1 million for la...rge businesses and $500 thousand for small businesses (as defined by the SBA).

2. By May 20th, 2010, all currently approved FHA lenders (NOT BROKERS) will need to meet the new net worth requirements as stated above. The rule does not define the method HUD will use for verifying net worth requirements by this date.
